Ice Planet Design is a graphic design house based in Dallas, TX, founded in January 2000 out of both frustration and necessity. Owner / Founder /
Musician Darren Paul perhaps sums it up best in this interview exerpt from the
Denton Record-Chronicle:
"At some point shortly before, I realized I was surrounded by fellow bands who were releasing music left and right and just had horrible, crappy artwork. We were all so D.I.Y. early on, when we needed any kind of art art, it was literally a cut-and-paste venture. Eventually, a friend introduced me to the digital art world, which I realized I both enjoyed and had a natural feel for. I realized the best way I could help my fellow band was giving them a hand with artwork. That really took off, and was successful enough that I quickly made the decision to go 'all-out' and establish Ice Planet Design as a business."
Since its inception, Ice Planet has been priviledged to work with a
multitude of exceptional artists, bands, record labels, and other companies on a wide variety of
design projects. and continues to expand at its own youthful pace.
Ice Planet is unique in that every new project recieves complete and total attention from start to finish. It is not simply handed off to a random 9-to-5 art department employee to be thrown together and rushed out the door.
